1880 FARM HOUSE
A forlorn farmhouse from the late 19th century, one of a handful left within the city limits, in need of either demolition or a complete overhaul and reconfiguration. Of course we needed to bring it back to life.
The Renovation
The original homestead dating back to the late 1800’s had been added on in a haphazard way and felt awkward and impractical. The brief was comprehensive: transforming the disjointed structure into a practical modern home without ripping out all the charm of the existing house.
The work started back down to the studs, with new electrical, plumbing and mechanicals. The spaces were reconfigured and flow was improved. Some room were re-purposed altogether. With creativity, imagination and expertise we created a home that felt comfortable and old despite everything being new.
